13 Days Itinerary
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a thrilling 14-day journey around the majestic Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), the world’s eighth highest peak. Known for its raw beauty, fewer crowds, and cultural richness, this challenging trek offers a perfect mix of rugged mountain terrain, high Himalayan passes, and traditional Tibetan-influenced villages.
Starting with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, the trail ascends gradually along the Budhi Gandaki River. Trekkers cross lush forests, deep gorges, and charming villages like Jagat, Namrung, and Samagaon, gaining altitude steadily to aid acclimatization. A rest day at Samagaon allows for an optional hike to Manaslu Base Camp or a visit to Pungyen Gompa.
The most thrilling part of the trek is crossing Larke Pass (5,106m), offering jaw-dropping panoramic views of Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. The descent leads through the beautiful Bimtang valley, rhododendron forests, and traditional hamlets before merging with the Annapurna Circuit at Dharapani.
Ending with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, this trek is a spectacular off-the-beaten-path experience for seasoned trekkers looking for raw natural beauty, cultural immersion, and a true Himalayan challenge.
